MEET THE TEAM
Rector: Rev’d Anne Goode has been Priest in the Parish since the 11th February 2020. Anne is working in the Bellinger Parish 4 days per week and also works as Chaplain at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
Married to Peter, they have 3 grown up children and 3 Grand Children. She has had many years of lay ministry experience before answering the call to ordination in 2015.
Anne has a passion for pastoral ministry and enjoys creative ministry as well as the traditional Anglican liturgy.
One of her favourite quotes is from Mother Theresa:
“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”
Administrative Staff:
Our Administration Assistant position is presently vacant. This is a paid position.
The Parish Office is being cared for by volunteers and we are very grateful for Eileen Beswick and the wardens who maintain this.
We have a part-time book keeper assisting with the recording of our financial accounts. This is a paid position.
Church Wardens:
Ken Donnelly, Celine Ross and Lesley Edwards (Rector’s Warden)
Recent years have seen many things in the parish achieved. St Margarets, Bellingen, being a historical church means there are always improvements and maintenance needing to be done. The wardens maintain the buildings and grounds, with help of Community workers. Local artist Angie Tait has recently redone the painting of a mural on the machinery shed wall.
Reverend Anne Goode.
Lay Ministers:
There are three Licensed Lay Ministers in the Parish, Dianne Neuman, Megan Octigan and Mike Summerill. They each assist in various ways with ministry and mission in the parish.
Op Shop Staff
There are two Op Shops in the parish: one located in the main street of Bellingen, the other located in the church hall at Urunga. The staff are all volunteers and are greatly valued.
The Op Shop teams work together to make the shops bright hubs of activity and conversation. Many bargains can be found in the variety of donated goods that continue to flow through our doors.
We are always wanting more volunteers. If you would like to join our team please contact the parish.
Parish Council
The Parish Council meet once each month to discuss the mission, ministry and maintainance requirements for the parish. Parish Council is a great group of interested and enthusiastic people who seek to build God’s kingdom and care for those in need and those on the fringe of the community
